Mbali has been here at the hotel for 5 years in the Housekeeping department and stepped into these shoes about 6 months ago. Kirsty is here as a Trainee from The International Hotel School and is spending her time in the Housekeeping department learning the ropes in all areas. T hese ladies not only help out with mending and altering linen but also sew up our Newspaper bags, Laundry bags and little sand bags that guests hang on their room door handles to advise if they would like their room made up or "Do Not Disturb". On top of all this - they make sure all 400 staff have perfectly fitted uniforms. Lots of industry, sewing and tucking going on in this little room off the Laundry at the hotel!

The recorded sales yesterday smashed the company’s previous best box office day by a massive 47% on an inflation adjusted basis. The reason: the Valentine’s Day screenings of the much-hyped Fifty Shades of Grey. “In fact,” says Doug Place, Marketing Executive of Ster-Kinekor Theatres, “it was a day of breaking records for the company.
