Gondwana’s Junior Ranger Program seals the deal for
a family safari

At Gondwana Game Reserve children of all ages are welcome, making it the perfect choice for a family safari. More than just accommodating little ones, the Gondwana team makes sure that kids are included and entertained, throughout their stay.
Gondwana’s Junior Ranger Program aims to enlighten little ones to the wonders of nature. From the moment children arrive they are treated like Junior Rangers including their official registration card and fun Ranger backpack with custom interactive safari booklet to fill out during their stay. The Junior Ranger experience forms part of their game drives with their field guide and parents.  Their field guide teaches them how to identify mammals, birds, Fynbos species, and even stars, as well as learn to track animals and make molds of their tracks. Separate Junior Ranger modules such as making your own fishing rod to fish in one of Gondwana’s many waterholes are a big hit. Through all of these activities and experiences, the little rangers gain a greater understanding of conservation and the eco system of the Garden Route.

All the while the adults can enjoy much-needed downtime, at peace knowing that the kids are entertained and looked after. Gondwana has a dedicated field guide just for Junior Ranger activities throughout the day.
The Junior Ranger experience touches all aspects of a child’s stay including special Junior Ranger meal menus, fun cupcake decorating at high tea as well as wildlife bedtime stories with cool illustrations by local artist Raquel de Castro Maia, and a delicious pre-sleep treat. Gondwana wanted to inspire their little guests and worked with Raquel to design all the beautiful one-of-a-kind Junior Ranger materials including a guest registration card that acts as a keepsake with the children’s ‘paw’ print and a picture with their game ranger, who is likely to be their favorite person on the planet when they leave Gondwana. The highlight of these new illustrated materials is a 50-page conservation booklet, which includes awesome animal checklists, spoor identification, fun crosswords, colouring and more! Even the kiddies’ menus are fun, with entrees such as dung beetle ball ice cream and ‘puffaders’ and chips, as well as stunning bookmark bedtime stories with African animal fables.

At the end of their stay, the children’s ranger will quiz them on what they’ve learned during the program, and they’ll each receive a completion certificate, as well as a picture with their ranger for their special registration card – a great memento.
For many parents, holidays can still be less than relaxing trying to keep the kids entertained and involved, but at Gondwana, children are top priority!

Ballito Junction Regional Mall Urban Eatery  sets a new standard for mall dining and entertainment Ballito Junction Regional Mall Urban Eatery is unlike anything South Africans have experienced before. It is set to take mall dining and entertainment to an entirely new level when Ballito Junction opens on 23 March 2017. Ballito Junction Regional Mall is the major expansion of an existing 10,000sqm shopping centre. It is increasing in size by eight times, to a whopping 80,000sqm of contemporary retail space with a complete choice of over 200 shops, restaurants, and services. Owned and developed by the consortium of Menlyn Maine Investment Holdings and Flanagan & Gerard Property Development & Investment, Ballito Junction Regional Mall is an extraordinarily intricate development in many ways, and especially as a result of the layout of the land it is being built upon. “It takes an unique vision to transform the complexity of this project into an opportunity that
