at our Sunday Jazz Sundowners at the BAT Centre from 3pm till late.
Tutti Grooves is a jazz and popular music ensemble from our
beautiful KwaZulu-Natal, consisting of seven members: Thabani “16 Beat” Kheswa,
Siyanda “Slash” Zulu (Trumpet), Mbonisi “Sqomqomane” Nhleko (Bass Guitar),
Sakhile “Mfowami” Manqele (Lead Guitar), Phumlani Khanyi (Piano), Manqoba Gina
(Saxophone) and Simphiwe Gina (Trombone).
With all of the band members having a background in gospel
music and church choirs, their music is inspired by the sounds of Hugh
Masekela, Stimela and Sankomote and more. Tutti Grooves' repertoire consists of
a selection of amazing cover tracks as well as their very own-composed music.
Under the motto “It's better when played together” the band enchants its
audience all over South Africa. Join us on Sunday and convince yourself! :)
There will be an open jam session after the performance.
