Sunday Jazz Sundowners with Tutti Grooves


Where: BAT Centre - 45 Maritime Place, 4001 Durban, KwaZulu-Natal

This Sunday, 21 May 2017, we will be hosting Tutti Grooves at our Sunday Jazz Sundowners at the BAT Centre from 3pm till late.

Tutti Grooves is a jazz and popular music ensemble from our beautiful KwaZulu-Natal, consisting of seven members: Thabani “16 Beat” Kheswa, Siyanda “Slash” Zulu (Trumpet), Mbonisi “Sqomqomane” Nhleko (Bass Guitar), Sakhile “Mfowami” Manqele (Lead Guitar), Phumlani Khanyi (Piano), Manqoba Gina (Saxophone) and Simphiwe Gina (Trombone).

With all of the band members having a background in gospel music and church choirs, their music is inspired by the sounds of Hugh Masekela, Stimela and Sankomote and more. Tutti Grooves' repertoire consists of a selection of amazing cover tracks as well as their very own-composed music. Under the motto “It's better when played together” the band enchants its audience all over South Africa. Join us on Sunday and convince yourself! :)

There will be an open jam session after the performance. Kindly contact our MC of the day if you'd like to perform. Our Sunday Jazz Sundowners takes place every single Sunday at 3pm at the BAT Centre.
