RNYC Sunday Roast
2018 Sunday lunches start with a bang and we have changed the format of our Sunday Britannia Room lunch to give you more of what you asked for and less of what you don’t want at a significantly lower price.

Instead of the extended buffet we have increased the selection of roasts, while starters, dessert and the cheeseboard are available separately on order. Every Sunday we will have roast beef, roasted pork leg AND whole roasted chicken with stuffing, Yorkshire pudding, roasted potatoes, rice, gravy, cauliflower in cheese sauce, roasted butternut, Greek salad, vegetarian pasta and Chef Charlie’s Coronation Coleslaw. The cost will be R95 per plate for RNYC members, a children's plate and pensioner's plate for R60, R105 for other club members and R125 for non members.

A selection of a la Carte starters and dessert menu will be available for those who want a 2 or 3 course meal or who would prefer to have their coffee and dessert on the Ndongeni lawns listening to the Sunday live music.

Join us this Sunday for our Sunday Roast upstairs in Britannia Room. Booking is essential. Contact us on 031 301 5425 to reserve your seat.

Dwellers of our arrear normally travel over 50 kilometers to get the taste that tickles their fancy. So we decided to bring it closer to home,” says Sandile. “We also are targeting that exclusive market, with a good ear for crisp, timeless, South African and jazz music. Offering good food won’t be com...

Fishing on the North Coast, KwaZulu-Natal The North Coast of KwaZulu-Natal must be one of the best recreational fishing coastlines in the world. From Kosi Bay in the north to Durban in the south the opportunities for the avid angler are numerous and varied. In the northern region the waters are warmer and the sheer variety of large predator fish make for some exciting fishing that cannot be matched anywhere else in South Africa. Here you can expect to catch king mackerel, sharks, kingfish and queenfish as well as rays, skates and sandsharks. From Richards Bay down to Durban, these large game fish are scarce and kob, shad (elf) and Natal stumpnose are more common. In late winter and spring Garrick (leervis) are quite prolific. Other common fish on the North Coast are spotted grunter, rock cod, kob and pompano. Light tackle fishermen can look forward to catching blacktail, banded galjoen, bigeye stumpnose, snapper kob, large-spot pompano, javelin grunter and many other...
