Dropkick Murphy's

When you think of Ireland, you think of warm-hearted people, St. Patty’s or an immaculate countryside wrapped around cobble streets, riddled with pubs and infectious singing. When we think of Ireland, we think about a pool of ingredients swimming in a light and crispy pastry, forming our mouth-watering Guinness and beef pie. We think about the abundance of craft beers stocked in our fridges and the warmth of our staff. We think about Dropkick Murphy’s and creating an experience for you.

Situated at the heart of the Durban social scene, on the ever-buzzing Florida Road, Dropkick Murphy’s is dedicated to providing a truly Irish experience, from the frost that forms around our Guinness and Kilkenny taps right down to the artful combination of brick and mahogany.

With the amount of ice-cold taps behind our bar, we wouldn’t be surprised to discover that you hadn’t noticed the TV’s placed around our establishment. Thus, in order to keep to the gracious nature of the Irish, we thought we would let you know about our Live Super 15 matches, often served with an awesome special and an even better atmosphere.

MORE FOOD. TO BE SURE, TO BE SURE!

In a constant effort to keep our menu as fresh as our ingredients, we have introduced a selection that infuses the traditional Irish pub grub menu, with some new and creative twists. Pop in to try our new Juicy Lucy Patty - extra large and stuffed with cheese, our not to be missed vegetarian Falafel Patty, or our lip-smacking PoBoy - a toasted French loaf with roasted red pepper mayo, salsa, lettuce and pan fried prawns.

‘WORK IS THE CURSE OF THE DRINKING CLASS.’

When the metaphorical kitchen of employment reaches temperatures too hot to bear, the fridges at Dropkick’s will cool you down. Our wide range of craft beers is one that holds brands such as Brewers & Union and Darling Brew, however continues to snowball with the introduction of Irish Gold and Kopperberg.

Classique Braai Lounge is a concept born out of passion for good food and a warm social vibe. It is well positioned between Durban and PMB for business people to come and network in relaxed yet conjusive environment. Entrepreneurs and residents of Hillcrest; Langa Sithole (47), and Sandile Dlamini (36), saw a gap for a braai lounge within easy reach, in a premium setting.  “This will be an establishment where one can enjoy good food and pleasant ambience. Dwellers of our arrear normally travel over 50 kilometers to get the taste that tickles their fancy. So we decided to bring it closer to home,” says Sandile. “We also are targeting that exclusive market, with a good ear for crisp, timeless, South African and jazz music. Offering good food won’t be com...

The Locals !  Colombo Coffee – Durban North A long standing favourite in Durban, The Factory Cafe recently moved their premises to Durban North and consolidated their name to Colombo Coffee. Roasted on site, Colombo Coffee is one of the top specialty coffees in KZN. The coffee shop rotates through their unique blends, namely Aggressive Chocolate, Fedora Classic, and their Sweet & Clean blend. They have also introduced a delicious Summer blend and they sell a number of incredible, top quality single origin coffees. The new shop can be found on Kensington Drive in Durban North and they have a display full of yummy chocolate brownies, cakes, and muffins. This is my favourite coffee shop in Durban. Not only are the staff super friendly but the coffee is just superb.
