Ile Maurice - Umhlanga

Positioned conveniently near the Beverley Hills and Oyster Box Hotels at No 9, MacCausland Crescent, ILE MAURICE restaurant is located in an old Umhlanga house that has been re-built to take best advantage of it's ocean views. And given the ever-increasing demand for corporate and other functions, Christian Lenferna de la Motte has now extended the facility by adding a beautiful wooden deck upstairs that now has a dual purpose : conferencing and private functions. The new facilities also include a cocktail bar and lounge area downstairs. Ideal for that pre-dinner aperitif or after-dinner liqueurs, cognacs or choice of exclusive Mauritian Rums.

On warm evenings sit out on the sun deck and watch the sun go down, as you enjoy magnificent food, romantic evenings and authentic Mauritian warm hospitality. The menu opens with the Soupe De Crabe, Soupe Mulligatawny and the classic French onion soup. The Camembert Aux Amandes (deep fried with almonds, sesame seeds, and served with red currant jelly) is more than tempting as is the Pate de Choux a L'Epinard et Saumon Fume' (choux pastry filled with spinach, smoked salmon and cottage cheese).

Main courses include fresh seafoods with our grilled Langoustines being most popular, line fish of the day, our bouillabesse des Iles. Mauritian Specialities include langoustine tails cooked with onions, garlic, ginger, chilli and fresh coriander, Prawn & Chicken Curry, a typical Island style curry with Chinese and French influence and the Crevettes & Calamare Creole, prawns and calamari the Creole way with coconut milk.

The desserts are a must but the choice between the Crepes Suzettes, Banane au Coco Flambee and other delicious desserts is not an easy one!

Definitely one of Durban's best!

It is increasing in size by eight times, to a whopping 80,000sqm of contemporary retail space with a complete choice of over 200 shops, restaurants, and services. Owned and developed by the consortium of Menlyn Maine Investment Holdings and Flanagan & Gerard Property Development & Investment, Ballito Junction Regional Mall is an extraordinarily intricate development in many ways, and especially as a result of the layout of the land it is being built upon. “It takes an unique vision to transform the complexity of this project into an opportunity that
